Our Team



Mark Adams
Chief Operating Officer


Mark is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership in all facets of TCG’s business. Prior to joining TCG, he worked in growth oriented creative, three dimensional, marketing service industries ranging in size from $15 to $100M. Skills include providing C-level management, strategic planning and tactical assistance in the budgeting/planning process.

He has also served as an advisor to emerging firms by providing merger, acquisition assistance, turnaround guidance and growth strategies for building incremental divisions. Mark joined TCG in 2008 as part of TCG’s broader strategic plan to broaden growth, develop a more distributed leadership team and drive a 10 year long term strategic plan. Mark’s leadership strength lies in his ability to operationalize strategy—translating TCG's strategic objectives into meaningful plans and tactical activities.

Jim Thompson
Vice President - Operations


Jim joined The Carlson Group in 2012 and previously worked with manufacturing companies ranging from $30 to $180 million dollars. Jim brings to TCG two decades of hands-on management, sourcing, manufacturing, installation, and warehousing experience. He has worked both with domestic and international partners throughout the globe including but not limited to: China, Taiwan, India, South America, and Europe.

His leadership strength lies in process development/training, constant improvement, and knowledgeable oversight. His ability and familiarity with international laws, manufacturing practices and cultures represent TCG’s commitment to provide true Global Services to its clients.

Laura Dillon
Director of HR and Administration


Laura joined The Carlson Group in January 2008 and possesses several years of human resources experience. Prior to her tenure with TCG, Laura held positions in technology sales and recruiting. Her expertise includes staffing management, employee development, compliance, benefits, payroll, performance management, and employee relations.

Laura is passionate about finding new talent to fit in with the TCG team. She develops rapport easily with staff at all levels of the organization and continues to work towards empowering employees to engage in 360 communication, perform at a high level against their department metrics, and have a deeper understanding of how they can impact TCG’s long term strategic goals. Laura holds professional accreditations of Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and Professional in Human Resources (PHR).

Jeff Chiu
Creative Director


Jeff rejoined The Carlson Group in 2016 after being a part of the team previously as a senior industrial designer. Prior to TCG, Jeff worked in product design for over a decade in both consulting and corporate environments leading new product innovation and visual brand language initiatives. His design work across multiple disciplines has informed a unique perspective of how every facet of the brand experience is interwoven and he strives to create meaningful solutions that connect brands with their consumers.

His approach to creative leadership is thoughtful, collaborative, and process driven. As Creative Director, Jeff works with a talented team of designers, engineers, and project managers that are integral in consistently delivering impactful results for TCG's clients.
