The Carlson Group Opens New Offices in Chicago and Shanghai

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Carlson Group is meeting the needs of its growing client base and expanding its global presence by opening a new office in Shanghai, China, and relocating its Chicago office to larger facilities. Concurrently, the company has adopted a sophisticated new logo and graphic identity package that reflect the company's growing presence in its industry. The Carlson Group is a leading in-store retail marketing firm providing comprehensive in-store services to global brands such as adidas, Nike, The North Face and Timberland.

The firm's new, 20,000 sq.ft. Chicago office is located at 350 E 22nd Street in Lombard, Ill., and will be operational by Nov. 1. The company currently employees 17 in Chicago, with plans to increase staff up to 50 percent over the next year. Although The Carlson Group's headquarters will remain in Portland, Chicago will be its largest office.

"Chicago has always been home for our production, design and engineering expertise. As our business has grown, it became time to relocate to a facility reflective of our expanding relationships with our clients," said John Carlson, principal of The Carlson Group. "Chicago has always been a region rich in manufacturing and distribution, and its location is a key benefit for logistics planning related to large, multi-site initiatives."

The new Shanghai office is located at 789 Zhao Jia Bang Road in the Jun Yao International Plaza. From the Shanghai office, The Carlson Group will coordinate its manufacturing operations in China. Along with its new offices, The Carlson Group has adopted a new logo and graphic identity package that will be incorporated into its print- and Web-based materials. "Our previous logo was developed when the company was first established, and we've grown significantly since then," said Tom Chisari, design director for The Carlson Group. "The new logo and identity better reflect the more sophisticated, design-focused, global company we have become."
